Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk briskly.
Store in the refrigerator in a covered container preferably a glass jar.
1-2 lbs flank steak (trimmed)
Directions:
Pour marinade over flank steak, marinade at least 3 hours in a sealed container or plastic bag (overnight is preferred). Be sure to pierce meat with a fork so that marinade will be infused into the beef. Reserve a cup of the marinade for grilling. Discard remaining marinade
Oven:
Heat oven to 400°.
In an oven proof pan, add olive oil to coat bottom of pan. Seer steak on one side, turn the steak and place in the oven. Roast for 10 – 15 minutes. Cook to medium. Medium will be less chewy and more flavorful. Remove steak from the oven and place the steak on a platter. Let the steak stand for 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak on bias against the grain and place on a plate.
Grill:
Prepare grill – be sure the grill is hot. Oil the grill before beginning. Grill for 3-5 minutes each side. Cook to medium. Medium will be less chewy and more flavorful. Remove from grill. Let the steak stand for 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak on bias against the grain and place on a plate.
Serving suggestions: Sautéed mushrooms & onions, roasted potatoes and side salad.
